After having completed the development of the Easy-Flow continuous granulation- and drying system we were challenged to find a parallel equipment solution for products which allow easy production in an extrusion system.

For this reason we decided to design a double twin screw extruder by ourselves. As depicted in the three-dimensional diagram, this extrusion system meets important pharmaceutical requirements with a special integrated measuring system to precisely determine the drive torques of the individual extrusion screw shafts. A system to measure electrical current consumption to detect the drive capacity is therefore no longer required.

The extrusion system will be ready to be applied in our laboratory by November 2010. In connection with a very effective drying system it will be an alternative which will certainly find the approval of many pharmacists.
